The association maintains 30 acres overlooking Lake Granbury and the beautiful downtown area. The area is known as the Reunion Grounds or the Fair Grounds.
Facilities include:

    Courts Cleveland Show Barn is our newest building and measures 150' x 160'. The building contains bleachers, restrooms, concession stand and nine large roll up doors that allow the control of air flow.

    Exhibit Building measures 55' x 75' with kitchen, heating/air conditioning, ceiling fans, table and chairs.

    Livestock Barn with show ring, announcers booth, hog pens lamb/goat pens, and a large wash rack area.

    Rodeo Arena with 6 bucking chutes and over 20 holding pens. Originally built in the 1950's but fully rebuilt in 2005 with 9 sky boxes overlooking the bucking chutes and another 21 boxes. Boxes seat between 8 and 12 guests each. Concrete bleachers on the north side of the arena overlook the downtown and Lake Granbury area.

    "The Water Trough" Concession Stand contains refrigerator,stove, and four customer service windows.

The major activity by the Association is the annual Jr. Livestock Show and Sale held the second week of January. This Jr. Show is open to 4-H and FFA members from our school districts. The Show concludes with the auction held on Saturday afternoon. Many students head to some of the four major stock shows held during the spring after competing locally.

Another popular event is the July 4th Rodeo held in conjunction with the other famous Independence Day activities in Granbury. After the rodeo stay where you are! It is the best place in the county to view the spectacular fire works show over Lake Granbury. This July 4th event will be a "Ranch Rodeo" event.

Many events are held throughout the year that are open tot he public but not sponsored by HCLRA. These include the Jr. Future Pro Bull Riders, the Sheriff's Posse Rodeo, Goat Shows, Pow Wows, Day Camps, and various concerts and demonstrations.

The Reunion Grounds are also the home of the Hood County Sheriffs Posse and the Granbury Lions Club building.

Rental of the facilities for parties, receptions, family or class reunions, bike rally's, horse shows, roping, dances, etc. help enable the Assoc. to maintain and improve the property for the youth of Hood County.

RV use is allowed but hookups are not available.
