A vital part of the Jr Stock Show is the support of businesses and individuals during the Sale.  The Hood County Sale is a premium sale, meaning that buyers bid and pay for the place of each entry.  The successful bidder does not take ownership of the animal or product; they simply reward the hard work of the exhibitor.  Buyer plaques are given to buyers of all items in the Premium Sale.  Private treaty sales of animals occur on a regular basis but are not handled by the association.  A processor will be onsite to transport and prepare all orders.

How To Become a Buyer - Hood County Livestock Raiser's Assocation Jr Livestock Show

Buyer Pools are important to the Premium Sale by representing buyers that are unable to attend the sale or by adding smaller donations together to purchase an exhibit.  The four major buyer pools are the Granbury Young Farmers, Lipan Fair Fund, Tolar Livestock Committee, and the Granbury Buyer’s Pool.  Invoices for donations are mailed within two weeks after the Sale and payable by early March.
